His experience spans power plant design and construction, he is a frequent advisor to corporate energy companies and Independent Power Producers (IPP), he has held a directorship with a New Zealand power utility, and was appointed by the New Zealand Government to lead the Ministerial Inquiry into the 1998 Auckland Power Failure crisis.
