Barclay Engineering and Genco Energy commenced working on the same power projects in Western Australia around 2006.
An alliance was first attempted in 2019 under an invitation from private equity markets to merge, however this was ultimately declined.
Barclay Genco Alliance was formed in 2025, and both businesses remain under their founding ownership.
